The Dream Ride is an exhilarating motorcycle tour that takes you through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the Indian Himalayas. This 10-day adventure covers a variety of destinations, including the town of Leh, Khardung La, Nubra Valley, Turtuk, Thang, Pangong Lake, Hanle, Umling La, and Tso Moriri. The tour begins in Leh, a charming town nestled in the lap of the Himalayas. From Leh, you'll ride to Nubra Valley, a stunning desert landscape dotted with sand dunes and quaint villages. Along the way, you'll pass through Khardung La, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Next up is Turtuk. Here, you'll get a taste of traditional Balti culture. After Turtuk, you'll head to Thang, a remote village that sits by the LOC. You will spot a Pakistani village from here. The tour then takes you to Pangong Lake, a serene expanse of water that straddles both India and China. From here, you'll ride to Hanle, a small village that boasts some of the clearest skies in the world. Next up is Umling La, the highest motorable road in the world at over 19,000 feet. Finally, you'll arrive at Tso Moriri, a stunning lake nestled in the heart of the Himalayas. The Dream Ride is not just about riding motorcycles but also about experiencing the local culture and cuisine. This tour is perfect for adventure seekers who want to explore some of the most beautiful and remote corners of India while pushing their limits on two wheels.

  • Any damage to the motorbike in case of an accident isn’t covered. The rider will be liable to pay for the damaged parts/servicing of the damaged vehicle

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Our representative will meet you at the airport and escort you to the accommodation in Leh where you will check in. We advise you to take an early flight to Leh so that you have ample time for rest and acclimatization. Briefing and team introduction will take place before dinner. You will find your motorbikes in the hotel parking by dinner time.
    Dinner and overnight in Leh.

  • Day 2

    After breakfast, you will begin local sightseeing around Leh. Your first destination for the day would be The Hall of Fame, a museum dedicated to the Indian Army. After the museum visit, you will head towards Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, located 25 KM from Leh, built in memory of Guru Nanak Dev’s visit to Leh roughly 500 years ago. After visiting the Gurudwara, you will be at the Magnetic Hill- a 15-minute drive. After visiting Magnetic Hill, it’s time to visit the very serene Sangam Point, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. After Sangam, you will visit Shanti Stupa. If we are here before sunset, you will witness the jaw-dropping view of Leh town. After the Shanti Stupa visit, your last attraction for the day would be the Leh Palace which was once the residence of a former Ladakhi King from the 17th to the mid-19th century.

  • Day 3

    After breakfast, you will leave for Nubra Valley via Khardung La, one of the highest motorable passes in the world, sitting at an elevation of 5360 meters. Take a brief halt here for a few pictures. As you reach Diskit, you will visit the Diskit Monastery- the largest monastery in Nubra Valley. A towering Buddha statue sits here with a magnificent view. The existence of this monastery dates back to the 14th century. After visiting the Diskit Monastery, you will leave for Hunder. On the way to Hunder, you will witness dunes in the cold desert. Check-in to the accommodation once you reach Hunder. Take a brief rest and then head out to the cold desert to enjoy a double-humped camel ride. These camels, also known as Bactrian Camels, are found only in Central Asia and Nubra Valley in India. End your day with dinner and overnight in Hunder.

  • Day 4

    After breakfast, you will leave for Turtuk, a tiny village in the Baltistan region of Ladakh. Turtuk was part of Pakistan until 1971 when the Indian Army conquered it and never gave it back. You will indulge in a walking tour of this fascinating village as you witness the simple lifestyle of the Balti people. You will then leave for 0 point (LOC) at Thang village where you will spot village Pharnu in Pakistan. You will return to Hunder in the evening. Post the convivial warmth of Bonfire at your accommodation you will have dinner. Overnight in Hunder.

  • Day 5

    Today, you will leave for Pangong Tso right after breakfast. You will be awestruck as you drive along the Shyok river. As you move towards Pangong Tso, you will pass the beautiful villages of Shyok and Durbuk. You will not believe your eyes when you catch a glimpse of Pangong Tso obscured by gigantic mountains. Check into the accommodation once you reach Pangong Tso. Head out, walk towards the lake and soak in serenity.
    Dinner and overnight by the lake.

    Pangong Tso lies both in India and China. The maximum length of the lake is a staggering 134 KM.

  • Day 6

    After breakfast, you will leave for Hanle, situated in the Changthang region of Ladakh. It is safe to say that the Changthang region is the most breathtaking of all in Ladakh. The Indian Institute of Astrophysics chose Hanle as the only site in India to set up the Indian Astronomical Observatory. Isn’t this a testimony to the fact that Hanle has the cleanest atmosphere in India?
    You will drive along the lake for around 50 KM or so until you reach Chushul- a village next to the Indo-Chinese border. You will also pass through village Merak, the most splendid hamlet along the lake. Tsaga is another beautiful village you will witness on your way to Hanle. Upon reaching Hanle, check in to the accommodation. Post brief rest, you will go for a spin to visit the Astronomical Observatory and Hanle Monastery.
    Dinner and overnight in Hanle.

  • Day 7

    After breakfast, you will begin your ride to the highest road in the world. Gripped by a feeling of accomplishment, you will cross the mighty Norbu La mountain pass halfway to Umling La pass. Make sure to click memorable pictures at Umling La before descending towards the Chisumle bridge. By evening, you will return to Hanle.
    Dinner and overnight in Hanle.

  • Day 8

    It’s time to say goodbye to Hanle. You will leave for Tso-Moriri after breakfast. You will ride on blacktop road to Mahe bridge followed by a bumpy ride to Karzok. Tso Moriri is one breathtaking lake with its waters switching colors between shades of blue and green throughout the day. Also, the lake neighbors green pastures that makes the whole setting look mesmerizing. Visit the 300-year-old Karzok Monastery that sits by the lake.

  • Day 9

    Wake up to the splendid view of Tso Moriri lake. Today marks your last day in Changthang region as you gear up to leave for Leh after breakfast. On the way, you will visit Puga Hot Springs, Tso Kar lake, and Tanglang La mountain pass. If time permits, you will visit Thiksey Monastery before reaching Leh. It resembles the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet, and is the largest monastery in Central Ladakh. After reaching Leh- tour the local market and indulge in shopping. Your complimentary dinner with beer will await you at one of the finest Bars in Leh. Overnight in Leh.

  • Day 10

    After breakfast, you will get transferred to the airport with countless memories of Ladakh. Goodbye and do visit again. Julley!
